The Route 2 Seasonal Beach Bus Express Bus runs Saturdays and Sundays in July and August until Labour Day Weekend.
Summer 2026:
- Book and pay for your ticket starting Monday, June 15
- First weekend of operation is Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28
- The Beach Bus will also run on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1
Fare: $12 per person one-way. Children free when accompanied by an adult.

- London Transit stop #705 (Fanshawe Rd. East, west of North Centre Rd. near RBC)
- Walper St. @ McDonald’s, Exeter
- Sobeys Plaza, Grand Bend
Booking
Seats fill fast – book early to secure your return trip. Space on the last bus of the day is always in high demand and limited.
How to Book:
- Click “Book Your Ride” button (WILL DISPLAY MONDAY, JUNE 15).
- Pick your travel date and time (sold out trips do not display).
- Pay online with debit or credit.
- Show your e-ticket or printed ticket to the driver on boarding.
Important Note: Because return trips can be pre-booked, the “Stranded Passenger Policy” does not apply on Route 2 when the Beach Bus is operational.

Tips
- Ticket holders board first.
- Show your ticket to the driver either printed or on your phone. Every ticket includes a scannable barcode.
- The bus runs directly from London Transit Stop #705 to Exeter (Walper St.) and Grand Bend (Sobeys Plaza).
- Cash fares (exact change only) are accepted only if seats are still available after ticket holders have boarded.
- Maximum capacity is 24 passengers.
- This bus is not wheelchair accessible. Please use regular Route 2 service for accessible transportation.
- No bikes allowed, as the bus does not have a bike rack.
- Only trained service animals wearing proper identification and harnesses are permitted. No pets allowed.
- Please travel light — large luggage is not permitted. Small items must fit on your lap or at your feet.
Strollers must be foldable and kept within your seating space. - No refunds if you miss the bus or don’t like the weather or have a last minute change of plans.
- Tickets for a different day and trip are possible, but you must make the change at least 3 hours before your original trip’s departure time. We recommend doing it at least a day ahead!
Huron Shores Area Transit (HSAT) Terms and Conditions
- You must be at least 14 years old to book and pay for bus tickets.
- Ticket changes must be made at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time.
- Tickets are only valid for the specific trip(s) booked.
- Children 12 and under must travel with an adult.
- Passengers must show a valid reservation (printed or on their phone) when boarding.
- Drivers may refuse boarding if a ticket is suspected to be fraudulent. No refunds will be issued in these cases.
- You will receive a confirmation email after booking. Please review it carefully to make sure your trip details are correct.
- The Route 2 “Summer Bus” does not allow bicycles or large luggage. All items, including strollers, must fit on your lap or at your feet. Oversized items may be refused, and refunds will not be provided.
- Pets are not allowed. Trained service animals are welcome and must remain harnessed and under the passenger’s control at all times.
- HSAT is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by traffic, road conditions, weather, or other situations beyond our control.
- Refunds are not provided if a passenger misses the bus or decides not to travel, including due to weather conditions.
- Refunds are available only if the reservation is changed or cancelled at least 3 hours before departure. Refunds are returned to the original credit card used for purchase. Go online to the booking website to refund your ticket.

Bus fares are part of a municipal transit program and are not subject to HST/GST.
