Bike Handling Note

The buses Huron Shores Area Transit uses regularly can store up to two bikes per bus.

Passengers need to be able to load/unload and secure the bike themselves. There is a sticker on the bike rack with handy instructions on how to safely load, secure and unload the bike. Drivers can help with verbal guidance only, they are not permitted to load the bike for you.

There is no additional charge for transporting your bike and bike storage is on a first come, first served basis.  Voyago is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of bikes; transportation of your bike is at your own risk.

The bike must have a minimum wheel diameter of 16 inches, accommodating most children’s bikes. Adult bikes are normally at least 20 inches in diameter. Sorry, we cannot handle tricycles, tandem or motorized bikes, including electric bikes.

Children unable to load the bike themselves must have an adult accompany them who can.

Detachable items, such as bags, air pumps and water bottles must be removed before the bike is stored on the rack.
