Huron Shores Area Transit Launches 2025 Summer Express Bus and Online Seat Booking

Huron Shores Area Transit (HSAT) is excited to announce the return of its popular Summer Express Bus, beginning Saturday, June 28, 2025. This seasonal service is designed to accommodate increased summer ridership on Route 2: Grand Bend to London via South Huron, offering more convenient and reliable access to the stunning beaches of Lambton Shores and South Huron.

To meet rising demand, the Summer Express Bus will operate four return trips every Saturday and Sunday in July and August, as well as a special service on Tuesday, July 1 for Canada Day.

The first departure of the day leaves London (London Transit stop #705) at 9:30 AM and the last return trip leaves Grand Bend (Sobeys Plaza stop) at 8:30 PM. New for 2025, a stop has been added in Exeter at the Walper Street @ McDonald’s bus stop #2240.

HSAT has also launched a user-friendly online booking system that allows riders to book their round-trip in advance. Using the booking system, riders can select their desired departure and return times, with secure payment by debit or credit card. With a limited capacity of just 24 seats, advanced booking is strongly recommended for anyone planning a day at the beach. Online booking begins Monday, June 23, 2025. A round-trip fare costs just $20.

In keeping with the new proactive booking model, HSAT will no longer arrange taxi rides for stranded passengers on Saturdays and Sundays in July and August. Riders are encouraged to secure their seats early to avoid disappointment.
