Child’s Annual Pass
Children aged 12 years and under ride free of charge when accompanied by an adult. To get a Child’s Annual Pass, submit the online order form (proof of age required). Children’s Annual Passes are issued free of charge and are valid for one year. Please note, the driver may verify the child’s age when boarding.
Support Person Assistance Pass
Passengers who require the help of a support person due to a disability may apply for a Support Person Assistance Pass, which allows one support person to travel with them free of charge. Only one support person is permitted per trip, but the individual may vary. The pass remains with the registered passenger.
To apply, complete an the Support Person Assistance Application (PDF) that includes medical certification confirming the need for a support person. Once approved, HSAT will contact the applicant and issue the pass at no cost. The pass is valid for one year from the first date of use.
CNIB Annual Pass
Passengers with a CNIB Card (contact Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada at 1-844-887-8572 or info@vlrehab.ca) can travel free of charge. Order the pass online or send an email to ride@huronshoresareatransit.ca and attach a scanned copy of the CNIB Card and one other piece of photo ID with your address on it. Include your complete mailing address in the email. You can also do this in person at the Municipality of Lambton Shores office or by mail.
CNIB Annual Passes are available to residents of HSAT Transit Partners (Lambton Shores, South Huron, Plympton-Wyoming, Bluewater and Kettle & Stony Point First Nation) for a person who is legally blind. The pass is valid for one year, is renewable, and the cards are issued free of charge.
Seniors & Veterans Discount Passes
Passengers aged 65 and over and Canadian Veterans receive a 20% discount on regular fares, including Monthly Passes. The discount is only available using the Seniors & Veterans Discount Pass not on cash fares. To purchase the pass, you must have Government-issued identification. Passes can be purchased at Sobeys Plaza in Grand Bend or ordered online or directly from the Transit Coordinator. Seniors & Veterans Discount Passes are only available to residents of HSAT Transit Partners (Lambton Shores, South Huron, Plympton-Wyoming, Bluewater and Kettle & Stony Point First Nation).
- Seniors acceptable government-issued ID: Birth Certificate, Passport, Permanent Resident Card, or OAS card.
- Veterans acceptable government-issued ID: A Veterans Service Card. Click here for more information about this ID.
Income Related Annual Pass
Offers a significant discount to passengers experiencing economic difficulty. The pass is valid for one year, after which re-application is required. It is available only to residents living in an HSAT Transit Partner district (Lambton Shores, South Huron, Plympton-Wyoming, Bluewater and Kettle & Stony Point First Nation).
Once your application is reviewed and verified, a Smart Card pass will be issued. Payment can then be made by debit/credit card, credit card or cash (in person at the Municipality of Lambton Shores office located at 9577 Port Franks Road, Thedford). Contact the Transit Coordinator for further information.

To be eligible, you must:
- live in Lambton Shores, South Huron, Bluewater, Plympton-Wyoming or Kettle & Stony Point First Nation
- be 20-64 years old
- have a “Blue Card” from a Lambton County Food Bank (Lambton Shores, Kettle & Stony Point First Nation or Plympton-Wyoming residents)
- be registered with a Huron County Food Bank (South Huron or Bluewater residents)
- live in social housing
- Provide one of the following:
- Ontario Works (OW) Program identification number
- Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) card or deposit stub
